Active Feather Lite – Pre Care Instructions
The Active Feather Lite uses a CO2 laser to lightly ablate (remove) the top layer of the skin, and apply heat to the lower layer of the skin leading to improved color, texture, and collagen stimulation. You can expect 3-5 days of downtime following this procedure depending on how your skin responds to the treatment.
Important points to remember:
- Wear an old button (down the front) shirt to your appointment
- Bring a wide brimmed hat to wear after the treatment
- If you wear contacts, you will need to remove them prior to the treatment and bring glasses. We recommend wearing glasses during the health phase
- Eat a solid meal prior to procedure
- Your skin will be very sensitive after the treatment, only touch your skin with clean washed hands
- Things that normally would not brother your skin may now cause sensitivity (pets, laundry soap, etc.) Treat your skin like baby skin
- You must avoid the sun during the healing phase
- Day to Day instructions apply only to the face. If you are treating several areas: i.e. face, neck, and chest, your healing time will be slower and adjustments may need to be made.
