MOXI LASER RESURFACING

MOXI Resurfacing is a non-ablative fractional laser treatment that utilizes the latest technology to address a range of skin issues, such as sun damage, uneven skin texture, large pores, melasma and hyperpigmentation. This minimally invasive procedure encourages collagen production, resulting in tighter, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin.

How does it work?

During the treatment, your Laser Clinician will use a fractional laser to create microscopic channels in the skin, triggering the body's natural healing response. The laser's energy penetrates deep into the skin, targeting the underlying layers without damaging the surface layer.

As the skin heals, the production of collagen increases, leading to plumper, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin. The treatment typically lasts between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

What Are The Benefits?

  • MOXI Resurfacing has many benefits, including:
    • Reduced Fine Lines and Wrinkles: helps to stimulate collagen production, which reduces fine lines and wrinkles, making the skin look smoother and more youthful.
    • Improved Skin Texture:  reduces uneven skin texture and scarring, leaving the skin looking smoother and more even.
    • Hyperpigmentation: can also help to reduce hyperpigmentation, such as age spots, sunspots, melasma and other forms of discoloration.
    • Minimal Downtime: MOXI resurfacing is a minimally invasive treatment that typically requires little to no downtime, allowing you to resume your regular activities quickly.

What Skin Types Benefit From MOXI?

MOXI Resurfacing is suitable for most skin types, but it is essential to consult your Laser Clinician before treatment to determine if it is appropriate for your specific skin concerns and skin type. The treatment can be customized to meet the unique needs of each individual patient, ensuring the best results.

Can MOXI Treat Melasma?

  • MOXI Resurfacing can be effective in treating melasma, a common skin condition that causes dark patches on the skin. The treatment works by targeting the melanin in the skin, which is responsible for pigmentation. The laser energy absorbs the melanin, causing it to break down, leading to a reduction in the appearance of melasma.
  • It's important to note that MOXI Resurfacing is not a one-time solution for melasma, and multiple treatments may be necessary to achieve the desired results.Your Laser Clinician can recommend the appropriate number of treatments needed to address your specific skin concerns. Additionally, it's crucial to protect your skin from the sun and wear sunscreen daily to prevent the reoccurrence of melasma and other forms of hyperpigmentation.

What Other Concerns Does MOXI Treat?

In addition to reducing the appearance of melasma, MOXI Resurfacing can also help to improve the overall texture and tone of the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging. The treatment can also reduce the appearance of acne scars, sun damage, and other forms of hyperpigmentation.

What Should I Expect During & After Treatment?

Prior to treatment, we’ll apply a numbing cream to ensure your comfort. During the treatment, you may feel a warming or tingling sensation, but the procedure is generally very comfortable. After the treatment, your skin may appear slightly pink or red, but this usually fades within a few hours to a day. Your skin will have a slight sandpaper texture that eventually sloughs off over the next several days.

Following a MOXI laser treatment, the application of PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) gel to the skin significantly enhances the healing process. PRF gel, derived from your own blood, is rich in healing elements that naturally promote skin regeneration. The MOXI laser, known for its effectiveness in rejuvenating the skin and improving texture and tone, pairs exceptionally well with PRF gel. This combination not only accelerates the skin's recovery time but also boosts the effectiveness of the treatment, leading to a noticeably healthier, more youthful appearance. Utilizing PRF gel post-MOXI treatment bridges the gap between advanced laser technology and natural healing, offering an optimized solution for superior skin rejuvenation.

You should avoid exposure to direct sunlight and wear sunscreen for at least two weeks following the procedure. You may also experience some mild peeling or flaking in the days following the treatment, but this is normal and should subside within a week.
