Emface – Pre Treatment Instructions
The following instructions will help you achieve the best results from your Emface treatment. Please take a moment to review this information and go over any questions and/or concerns you may have with your consultant.
Please reveal any medical conditions that may be of significance to the laser procedure -such as pregnancy, cold sore and fever blister tendencies, any type of allergy, recent facial peels or surgery, all current medications including Accutane, tetracycline, hormone replacement therapy or use of Retin-A, or medications you are taking that might sensitize you to light, affect wound healing or affect coagulation.
- Please stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water to allow the Sync RF energy to flow easily and influence the skin tightening.
- Please avoid taking NSAIDS, steroids topical or oral for at least 5 days prior to treatment
- Please come in without any lotions, creams, or makeup on the face.
- Your face will be wiped by rubbing alcohol prior to the placement of the pads, but having clean skin will help expedite the placement by a lot.
- Avoid facial hair in the treatment area. Shave any hair 24 hours prior.
Contraindications:
Facial piercings in the areas of pad placement, cheek implants, forehead implants or metal plates, facial tattoos in the areas of the pad placements, presence of active skin infection or open wounds, and active severe acne breakout.
- Bacterial or viral infection, acute inflammations
- Impaired immune system
- Isotretinoin in the past 6 months
- Skin related autoimmune diseases
- Radiation therapy and chemotherapy
- Poor healing and unhealed wounds in the treatment area
- Metal implants near treated area or neutral electrode
- Permanent implant near the area to be treated.
- Pacemaker or internal defibrillator, or any other active electrical implant anywhere in the body
- Current condition or history of skin cancer, or current condition of any other
type of cancer, or pre-malignant moles - History of any type of malignant cancer
- Active collagen diseases
- Cardiovascular diseases (such as vascular diseases, peripheral arterial disease, thrombophlebitis, and thrombosis)
- Pregnancy/nursing or IVF procedure
- History of bleeding coagulopathies, use of anticoagulants
- Any active condition in the treatment area, such as sores, psoriasis, eczema, rash and rosacea
- Any surgical procedure in the treatment area within the last three months or before complete healing
- Poorly controlled endocrine disorders, such as diabetes
- Tuberculosis
- Hepatitis
- Febrile conditions
- Acute neuralgia and neuropathy
- Kidney or liver failure
- Sensitivity disorders in the treatment area
- Varicose veins, pronounced edemas
- Skin resurfacing, or deep chemical peeling in the treatment area within 3 months prior to the treatment
- Electroanalgesia without exact diagnose of pain etiology
- Serious psychopathological disorders (such as schizophrenia)
- Neurological disorders (such as multiple cerebrospinal sclerosis, epilepsy)
- Blood vessels and lymphatic vessels inflammation
- Scarring in the treatment area
- Hypersensitive carotid sinus (for submentum treatment only
