Botox/Dysport/Xeomin – Pre Care Instructions

Pre-treatment:

• Avoid the use of Aspirin, St. John’s Wort, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
• Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to appointment.
• You must be off any antibiotics for 5 days prior to your treatment.
• Not recommended if recent surgery, prior to or within 2 weeks.
• Not recommended if recent vaccination prior to or within 1 week for Botox or 2 weeks for filler. For Covid vaccine, 2 weeks prior or post.
• Do not schedule if you have an active infection or symptoms of illness.
• If you bruise easily, the use of Arnica Montana 2 to 3 days prior to injection may be useful in reducing bruising.
• Neurotoxins generally take a minimum of three days to begin working; full effect is at 7-14 days. Please take this into consideration when scheduling your treatment.
