PDGF Injectable – Post Care Instructions
PDGF INJECTABLE POST-CARE:
- First 24 hours:
- Do not wash or wet the treated area for at least 4 hours following procedure Avoid touching, rubbing or scratching the treated area Do not applying make up for 24 hours after your treatment No heavy exercise, hot tubs, saunas or swimming Avoid direct sun exposure
- You may use cold packs for 20 minutes every 2 hours the day of treatment for discomfort
- After 24 hours:
- Resume normal skin care products after 24 hours, unless told otherwise Avoid microneedling, aggressive exfoliation, or laser treatments in the treated areas for at least 2 weeks Continue to avoid heavy exercise, hot tubes, saunas or swimming for 48 hours
- You may continue icing for 20 minutes every 3-4 hours the day after treatment. Past 48 hours, discontinue icing.
- Ongoing care:
- Maintain hydration and a balanced diet to support tissue regeneration
- Follow your provider’s recommended treatment plan
Possible Risks and Side Effects Associated with PDGF Treatment:
COMMON & TEMPORARY:
- Redness, swelling or tenderness at treatment site
- Bruising or pinpoint bleeding
- Mild itching or warmth in the area
- Temporary discoloration
LESS COMMON:
- Skin dryness or flaking during healing
- Localized infection
- Allergic reaction to ingredients
- Prolonged redness, swelling or tenderness
- Development of small nodules or bumps at injection sites
RARE, BUT POSSIBLE
- Delayed hypersensitivity reaction
- Scar formation or changes in skin pigmentation
- Unintended stimulation of scar tissue in predisposed individuals
