When will I see results?
Immediately.

Are there reasons to avoid Restylane® type products?
Most patients are good candidates for the product, and it produces great results. Products in the Restylane® family should not be used by people with previous bad allergies, particularly to certain micro-organisms known as gram-positive bacteria, or by people with previous bad allergies to drugs who have required in-hospital treatment. Restylane-L® and Perlane-L® should not be used by people with a known allergy to lidocaine. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18 years, you should not use products in the Restylane® family.

What should I tell my healthcare professional before treatment?
Let her know if you have suffered from facial cold sores or if you have recently used aspirin, fish oil supplements, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, St. John’s wort, or high doses of vitamin E supplements. These agents may increase bruising and bleeding at the injection site.

What are common side effects?
You may have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising and tenderness. This will normally last less than seven days.
